Ayia Napa
Enjoy some of the meds finest beaches
The south-eastern corner of Cyprus is famous for amazing beaches of fine, clean, pale yellow sand shelving gently into warm bright turquoise waters – and you won’t find any better than those at Ayia Napa and Nissi Beach.
The former fishing village of Aiya Napa is now a major tourist resort, and a ‘top-ten’ destination for the international young and lively crowd. At its heart stands a 16th century Venetian Monastery with its cool shaded cloisters, Roman boars head fountain and 500-year old sycamore tree.
Right next door is Seferis Square where as night falls the bars and pubs fill up with the beautiful people, who later move on to state of the art discos and theme pubs.
But Aiya Napa is not just for the rave generation! It’s a great all-round resort with a thriving shopping district and a selection of Indian, Chinese, Italian and German restaurants, to add to its attractive tavernas serving delicious local Cypriot dishes.
You could bring 3 generations of your family here and there would be plenty for everyone to enjoy – and we can’t think of a better recommendation for Aiya Napa than that!!
