Halkidiki

Rugged scenery and great beaches in a region rich in history…..

The dramatically beautiful three-pronged Halkidiki peninsular, with fone long beaches of yellow sand backed by pine clad mountains, and warm clear waters, offers you Greece at its scenic best.

This historic region, birthplace of Alexander the Great, has always been popular with the Greeks themselves, but its only lately being discovered by holiday makers from the UK.  The dramatic eastern promontory is still hidden form outsiders’ eyes.  Its home to the Byzantine monasteries of Mount Athos, where women are forbidden to set foot.  However you can view it from the sea by taking a boat trip along the coastline.
