Paxos

Paxos is around 3 hours by sea from Corfu (to the south) and is a truly beautiful haven of tranquillity.  It is green and forested and has just a few farming and fishing villages.  Swathes of olive groves across the island add to its beauty and account for a major part of the island’s economy.   Paxos is around seven miles long and three miles wide with a large number of beaches and is surrounded by crystal clear seas.   The island’s west coast features lots of steep chalky cliffs which have been eroded at the base, forming blue caves, whilst the east coast is home to a series of coves best explored by boat and (mainly pebbly) beaches and traditional villages.

Paxos is the perfect retreat for those wishing for a break from the hustle and bustle of their busy lifestyles, and whilst the island caters for tourists during the summer season, it has retained much of its traditional charm.  Ideal for soaking up the sun and rejuvenating by enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
